CDOT Alcatel Lucent Research Centre (CARC) is a Joint Venture between Alcatel-Lucent and the Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), the Indian Government's telecom technology development centre in establishing a global R&D center, dedicated to broadband wireless access. The company is 51 percent Alcatel-Lucent owned and the remaining 49% by C-DOT.
The world-leading expertise of Alcatel-Lucent in fixed and mobile broadband networks together with C-DOT's knowledge of local market conditions would enable CARC to come up with an optimum solution for the local carriers to build a user-centric broadband infrastructure for Indian consumers. Its primary focus is on WiMAX Rev-E solutions, adapted to the needs of Indian carriers and customers. Subsequently, these adapted solutions can be used in other high-growth economies worldwide.

Job Description:
Architecture / Functional Specifications, HLD/LLD,Coding for WiMAX Base Station Development
Technical coordination of activities - Planning, Tracking and execution
Follow R&D processes, best practices in coding , Review etc
* Experience in real time programming (Assembly, C/C++), over Linux/RTOS mandatory
* Experience in Intel IXP network Processor, XSCALE, micro-engines, PowerQuick preferred
* Knowledge in 3GPP/3GPP2/CDMA/GSM/UMTS standards
* Knowledge of basic IP protocols in mobile environment (DHCP, DNS, EAP,..) preferred
* Knowledge of WiMAX 802.16e- MAC layer
* Ability to follow R&D process and SDLC
* Ability to work in cross country work environment
* Experience in Clearcase
* Experience in debugging tools like gdb, ethereal, etc
